About the Event.

GoFish Nagambie in a nutshell.

Festival of fishing, food, outdoor lifestyle and family fun.

GoFish Nagambie is Australia’s richest and largest freshwater fishing tournament and outdoor lifestyle festival. In its inaugural year, the festival will bring Australia’s favourite outdoor activity, fishing, to the forefront. Fishing is a sport steeped in tradition and loved by many, so it is only fitting that it be held in the perfect fishing destination of Nagambie, an undiscovered gem.

The uniquely Australian program of activities runs over the ANZAC Day weekend from 25 – 28 April 2019, at the Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre on the banks of the iconic Goulburn River and Nagambie Lakes.

The highlight of the family-friendly program is the GoFish Nagambie fishing tournament boasting a guaranteed and whopping $500,000 in cash and prizes. With the tournament area spanning over 30 kilometres of pristine waterways and the river specially stocked with our target species, fishos will be reeling in metre cods left, right and centre! You’ll need to be quick of the mark, this tournament will sell out fast.

Please join us to celebrate Australia’s most loved outdoor activities and hero the region’s best gourmet produce at GoFish Nagambie 2019.

The GoFish Nagambie Festival Hub is located on the banks of the majestic Goulburn River and Nagambie Lakes at the Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre. This area is famous for being home to the beautifully marked Murray Cod, the iconic fish of Australian freshwater. The Nagambie Lakes region also boasts some of Victoria’s best wineries, so be sure to earmark those for some viticultural research whilst you’re here.

Nagambie, a local Aboriginal word meaning ‘lagoon’ or ‘still waters’, is located 138 kilometres north of Melbourne via the Hume and Goulburn Valley Highways, and is an easy 90-minute drive from Melbourne.
