MS, the official charity partner of GoFish Nagambie, are excited to announce the inaugural GoFish Nagambie MS Family Program. The GoFish Nagambie MS Family Program will provide people living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers a unique experience at GoFish Nagambie.

There will be an opportunity for up to 10 families to attend the GoFish Nagambie MS Family Program, where they will have entrance into the GoFish Nagambie fishing tournament, experience a wide range of organised activities at the GoFish Nagambie Festival Hub and within the local area, as well as a chance to connect with the GoFish Nagambie community.

With 1 in 3 Australians directly impacted by multiple sclerosis through a diagnosed family member, friend or colleague, programs like this are valuable. The GoFish Nagambie MS Family Program will provide an opportunity for families to spend time together whilst further developing their understanding and knowledge of multiple sclerosis and of the MS services. The Program will also educate families around a range of health and wellness strategies for people living with MS, whilst connecting with other families and the community.

Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system that interferes with nerve impulses within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. People with multiple sclerosis can experience a wide range of symptoms and can be affected differently at various stages in their life.

The most common symptoms of multiple sclerosis are fatigue, pain, bladder and bowel issues, spasticity, problems with vision, cognitive fog and changes in emotion. With no known cure for multiple sclerosis, the support and services provided by MS are critical for people living with multiple sclerosis, ensuring no one has to face MS alone.

MS relies on the generous donations and fundraising efforts of the community to provide some of the most vital services. There will be opportunities to donate to MS at GoFish Nagambie. Stay tuned for more information on how you can help!

Please make the families of the GoFish Nagambie MS Family Program feel welcome! Come say hello and join in some friendly competition at the GoFish Nagambie fishing tournament.
