What's biting on the Goulburn.
It’s been a cracking start to the New Year in this neck of the woods, with plenty of fish being caught across the board. Have a look at what's biting and where.
Plenty of cod on divers around Trawool and stacks of Yellowbelly and Cod around Seymour with bait fishing producing the goods on Bardi Grubs, Cheese and Worms doing all the damage.
Closer to Nagambie things are really starting to fire with local fishos catching plenty of Murray Cod. One young bloke reported in catching 18 cod in an arvo / evening session. He reckoned that cheese was the stand out bait which landed multiple 60cm plus cod. For lures, the cod were taking Pompadours off the surface just on dark.
Below the weir from Murchison East to Toolamba, right through to Shepparton and Undera is fishing great. As is the current trend, bait is without a doubt the standout for landing cod and Yellowbelly. Cheese, Bardi Grubs, Shrimp, Yabbies and Scrubworms have all been landing fish. The pick of the lures looks to be the Old Mate Divers.
Great to see the fish are so active at the moment. Get out and have a crack!
